PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) — Three people have been detained after Arizona state troopers were asked to stop a semi-truck carrying approximately $2 million in Samsung products out of California.
Arizona Department of Public Safety officials told Arizona’s Family that the California Highway Patrol was monitoring a GPS tracker tied to the truck overnight and notified Arizona law enforcement to be on the lookout once it reached the state line.
Arizona state troopers then staged along Interstate 10 in the West Valley. A short time later, DPS was able to conduct a traffic stop and detain 3 suspects near the Loop 202 South Mountain interchange around 2 a.m. At the scene, Arizona’s Family crews spotted the trio being pulled into the patrol vehicle.
