Advantive has acquired UK-based packaging software solutions provider Abaca Systems for an undisclosed sum.

Abaca is based in Manchester and has been serving the packaging industry since 1991.

The company offers solutions to meet the complex production needs of its clients via a single piece of software.

Its fully integrated software architecture is suitable for a wide range of customers, including those in the corrugated packaging, distribution, and maintenance sectors.

The company’s business management suite, which includes accounting, reporting, scheduling solutions, and document management features, is claimed to offer its customers optimum performance in one secure and comprehensive solution.

Abaca joint managing director Graham Dickinson said: “Our aim at Abaca Systems has always been to offer superior products to our customers, and by joining the Advantive family, we will now be able to offer those customers even more.”
