Agnostiq, a Toronto based quantum software developer that is developing Covalent, an open-source workflow orchestration platform, has received a $6.1 million seed extention venture investment. This follows a $2 million seed investment they received in May of 2021. The investment was led by Differential Ventures with additional participation from Scout Ventures, Tensility Venture Partners, Green Egg Ventures and Rob Granieri, Principal at Jane Street Capital. The company indicates they will be using the funds to continue development of Covalent Cloud, a commercial offering that will work with the Covalent software and make it easier for end users to integrate the activity of classical and quantum processors working together in a heterogeneous computing environment to solve their computational problems. Additional information about this additional funding can be found in a press released posted here.
