On November 30, Vivo unveiled their latest smartphone, the Y100i, in China. This device boasts a 6.64-inch screen with a 60Hz refresh rate and runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 6020 SoC. It is equipped with 12GB RAM and 512GB of internal storage, and features a dual rear camera system with a primary 50-megapixel sensor. The Y100i has a 5,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging capabilities and is rated IP54 for dust and splash resistance.
The Y100i is available for purchase at a price of CNY 1,599 (roughly Rs. 15,000) for the model with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. It comes in three color options – pink, blue, and black – and can be bought through Vivo’s online store in China. There is currently no news regarding its release in other markets, such as India.
This phone operates on Android 13 based OriginOS 3 and has a full-HD+ display with a screen-to-body ratio of 91.6%. It also has a virtual RAM feature that allows for memory expansion up to 24GB. The Y100i’s camera setup includes a 50-megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor at the back, as well as an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls.
The Y100i offers connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, a USB Type-C port, and GPS. It also features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and supports facial recognition for unlocking. The dimensions of the phone are 164.06×76.17×8.7mm, and it weighs 190 grams.
Additionally, the Vivo X90 Pro has been launched in India, with its features and enhancements being discussed on Gadgets 360’s podcast, Orbital, which is available on platforms such as Spotify, Gaana, JioSaavn, Google Podcasts, Apple Podcasts, and Amazon Music.
